We have to find the diacritical marking in the dictionary.  This is the "funny markings" just after the word that helps us pronounce it.  The word should be copied on the front of the flashcard .  These can be index cards or construction paper cut to size.  The size is your choice, no smaller that about an inch by 2 inches.  The full set of 27 flashcards are due Mond. Sept. 12.
An alphabetized list is due next Tuesday.
The test will be a sheet with 3 or 4 paragraphs with a missing word every so often.  Students will get a word bank on test day by writing the words from teacher dictation.  Then they'll use the word bank to fill in the missing blanks.  Each blank is worth 4 points: 2 for correct spelling and 2 for correct placement.
